The 356B Carrera GT Leichtbau (lightweight) model which also featured an aluminum bonnet. Designed specifically for racing cars, they were also provided for the 356B Carrera GT S-90, for the subsequent 356B Carrera 2 GT, 356C 2 GT and could be mounted on request on the 356B Carrera GS 2000 and 356C Carrera 2 GS versions .
Due to their lightness and their perfect adaptability to all standard 356B and 356C versions, these doors were often used in competitions by these cars.
